St. Mary's teen Vision

St. Mary’s Teen Vision (SMTV) was started in 2009 by three JFK students who

were also St. Mary’s parishioners; Bethany, Chelsea, and Maddie. They saw the

need for a teen group and SMTV has blossomed from there.

This group focuses are four issues: Worship, Service, Education, and Social. It is

open to youth, grades 7 through 12. Members do not need to be parishioners of St.

Mary’s and do not need to be of the Catholic faith. We encourage our members to

invite their friends.

Throughout the year, SMTV is involved in many service projects such as Blessing

Bags, packing the food bags for St. Vincent de Paul’s Thanksgiving Food Drive,

Christmas Caroling at local hospitals and nursing homes, and playing Santa’s Elves

for Catholic Charities’ Giving Tree (Sorting the Gifts).They love their social events;

Bowling Nights, Game Nights, Pot Luck Dinners, and have gone to Cedar Pointe with

the DOY! Each year they hold a Lock-In at the church during Lent where they

start the night with Stations of the Cross, make blankets for Veterans, strengthen

their faith through activities and lessons, attend a midnight mass, and enjoy an

outing for a LATE night/EARLY breakfast at Perkins!

Please call the Rectory at 330-393-8721.  Come and join the fun!
